Understanding Potential Cattle Contribution to Leafy Green Outbreaks: A Scoping Review


Prepared primarily by Dr. Mindy M. Brashears of Texas Tech University and funded by NCBA, a contractor to the Beef Checkoff, this review was featured in an issue of the Institute of Food Technologists' journal, "Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety". The paper seeks to gather data using existing literature and public health reports on mechanisms of transmission for pathogens from livestock to produce, in order to understand potential cattle contribution to leafy green outbreaks.
